Jonna Perrillo is a professor of English Education at the University of Texas, El Paso and the author of the forthcoming Uncensored: Educators Speak Out on Teaching in a Time of Book Bans. She is co-director of a National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute for Teachers on the history of literature instruction in American Schools.
